The work series ‘From Below’ with its utopian view of interior spaces challenges our perception, while showing rooms from below the floor, as if they would merely consist of glass. The mathematically logical concept of perception seems easily comprehensible at first, but then our orientation system looses structure in these self contained, dynamic aesthetics. The objects seem to be weightless and appear to be floating and tumbling through space, while denying gravity. The observation from below nearly seems as a threatening entity, even more if one considers that the observation is understood as an omnipresent, latent self-observation.
