Resa Blatman

Resa Blatman’s cut edge paintings are a stunning ten to eleven feet wide and take months to complete. Starting at the computer, she designs the edges of the pieces. Once the panels are laser cut, Resa draws directly on them attempting to catch the nature at odds with itself: by playing with the contradictions of emptiness versus fullness, lush versus barren, and rapture versus displeasure. Resa is currently at work on her largest piece to date, thirty eight feet wide.
